Tour code: P2T - 05DAY 01: JAYAPURA ARRIVAL (L.D) Arrive at Sentani airport of Jayapura, meeting service and clearance luggage then short transfer to hotel for a short rest, after lunch visit a traditional market of Sentani and then drive up to Ifar gunung to see the monument of World War II, and then back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.  DAY 02: JAYAPURA - WAMENA - SOGOKMO – ANJELMA (B,L,D) After breakfast, transfer to airport for your 45 minutes flight to Wamena. Upon arrive at Wamena, direct transfer to Sogokmo for about 40 minutes with accompanied also by your cook and local porters, the starting point of the trekking, then continue climbing the Hesegem hill on the direction to Anjelma, the destination village. Along the trails, you will meet local people in their activities and yet the scenery is very beautiful around. Lunch served en route. Afternoon you will explore the traditional villages and learn about the people way of life. Dinner and stay at local guest house of Anjelma village. As the accommodation is very simple in the village we are going to set up the tents inside for you in order to have more comfortable stay. (Walk approximately. 4 hours). DAY03: ANJELMA - KILISE (B,L,D) After having banana pancake for breakfast, proceed down to Polimo airstrip and cross the small river then hike up to Hesegem mountain for overlooking to Kurima sub-district. In this place you can enjoy a spectacular view of Baliem gorge. Along the trail you will see and meet with local people who working at their sweet potatoes gardens. Cook will provide food in Kilise, afternoon we have chance to meet local people and learn about their community life. Dinner and overnight at local house of Dani tribe. Again will prepare tents inside the accommodation for you. (Walk Approx. 4 hours) DAY 04: KILISE (Pig feast and Dance) - SYOKOSIMO (B,L,D) After breakfast enjoy a local performance such as Mock War and Traditional earth oven cooking. You can be interacted with local Dani people and learn their way of life. After lunch continue a moderate trek with passing some stone fence of Dani garden and along the way you can enjoy the spectacular view of Baliem gorge. We stop in Hihundes village to see the people activities, then cross Baliem river through suspension hanging bridge to other side of the river to Userem village, and going down to cross another traditional hanging at Mugi river. Lunch will serve en route. At noon arrive at Syokosimo village, you have a chance to swim in Mugi clean water river. Dinner and stay at a local guest house in Syokosimo. We prepare tents inside (Walk Approx. 4 Hours) DAY 05: SYOKOSIMO - UGEM - WAMENA (B,L,D)
After breakfast at your local house, then continue the last day of trekking within approximately 6 hours to Sogokmo via Ugem and Seima villages. We will walk along Baliem river side down to Sogokmo, lunch will serve at a clean water source on the way and you have chance to soak your pain legs and aching bones there. After lunch continue to Kurima to get the car for drive to Wamena. And then continue to Sumpaima village to see the 250 years old Mummy and explore the surrounding hamlets. Late afternoon to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 06 : WAMENA - JAYAPURA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight back to Jayapura. Arrival at airport of Jayapura You may have a full day sightseeing tour including : Sentani lake by boat to see how Sentani peole make a bark painting in Asay and Ayapo Island. Lunch have at Yougwa restaurant near the lake. After lunch, see the Anthropology museum (open from Monday to Saturday at 09.00-14.00), then Hamadi market & Jayapura city. Afternoon back to hotel for overnight and dinner.
DAY 07 : JAYAPURA - DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport and depart to the next destination.

 DAY 01: JAYAPURA ARRIVAL SIGHTSEEING TOUR (L.D) Arrival at Sentani airport of Jayapura, met by our guide then transfer to hotel for short briefing, after rest a while, visiting World War II monument on top of Ifar Gunung, Sentani lake and its small island to see how Sentani tribe make bark painting, lunch will have at Yougwa restaurant on the lake side, then proceed the tour to visit anthropology museum and Hamadi souvenirs shops. Late afternoon drive back to the hotel for dinne and overnight stay. DAY 02: JAYAPURA - SOGOKMO - KURIMA - KILISE (B,L,D) After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Wamena. Upon arrive at Wamena airport, then drive 40 minutes to Sogokmo, the starting point of the trekking with your guide, cook and local porters. Trek will be 4 hours thru Kurima District and passing some Dani sweet potatoes gardens. Afternoon arrive at village and you may walk around, while your cook preparation for dinner. Overnight stay at local guest house of Kilise. We will set up tent inside the guest house. DAY 03: KILISE - HIHUNDES - SYOKOSIMO (B,L,D) After breakfast, proceed to descend the steep hill down to traditional hanging bridge across Baliem river. Today's walk is a little harder with narrow and slippery paths. But you may also enjoying the nature's beauty by stopping in the Mugi river to get refreshing while the cook serving lunch. After this part, the path gets smaller and tricky until you get to Syokosimo village. Late afternoon you can explore the village nearby, dinner and overnight at a local guest house. We set up tent inside. Our trek about 4-5 hours. DAY 04: SYOKOSIMO - HITUGI (B,L,D) After breakfast, you proceed the trek up with our team around 4 hours with passing traditional hanging bridge to a village called Hitugi. Climbing up the hill all the way to the village is something different, but the scenery is incredibly beautiful combined with small villages and local people working in the field and we are going to meet Yali people with friendly smile on their way home from Wamena. You arrive in the village by noon where the cook is ready to serve lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at Hitugi village. Tent will be settled up (Walk approx. 4 hours) DAY 05 : HITUGI - KURIMA - SOGOKMO - WAMENA (B,L,D) After breakfast, leaving Hitugi back to Sogokmo. The walk today is the longest one, but the terrain is not very difficult as trails wider and the panorama is so evicting. Passing Kurima village before ending up in Sogokmo where the car ready to take you back to Wamena. Lunch served en route. Dinner and overnight at hotel. DAY 06 : WAMENA - JIWIKA (Pig feast & dance) - WAMENA (B,L,D) After breakfast, drive 30 minutes to Jiwika in the North of Baliem valley to see the 250 years old Mummy. Then walk 10 minutes to village of Anemoigi where you can view the Dani Mock battle and Pig feast. You will see how the Dani make fire traditionally, kill a pig with bow and arrow and cook them into the hot-burned stone with vegetables and sweet potatoes. Lunch box will be provided. After lunch, climb the salt pool where salt pool exist on top of Mili mountain or visit the cave of Wosilimo. Afternoon return to hotel. DAY 07 : WAMENA - JAYAPURA (B,L,D) After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight back to Jayapura. Arrival at airport of Jayapura, check in to the hotel and then drive to Depapre in 1.5 hours and then by boat in 10 minutes to Kisy Kisy beach for swim, snorkeling and relax. Lunch will serve with grill fishes at the beach. Late afternoon back to hotel for overnight and dinner. DAY 02: JAYAPURA - KURIMA - KILISE (B,L,D) After breakfast then transfer to airport for your 40 minutes flight to Wamena. Arrive at Wamena airport, then drive in 40 minutes to Sogokmo with your guide, porters and cook, the starting point of the trekking to Kurima, sub District of the tribe on level terrain then continue climbing the Hesegem hill on the direction of Kilise. Along the trails, you will meet local people in their activities and yet the scenery is very beautiful around. Lunch served en-route. Afternoon you may explore the traditional villages and learn about the people way of life. Dinner and stay at local guest house of Kilise. (Walk approx. 4 hours). DAY 03: KILISE – IBIROMA - WAMEREK (B,L,D) After breakfast, proceed to Wamerek village by passing Ibiroma village. Today's walk is a little harder with narrow and slippery paths up down of the hills with about 1.800 meters of elevation. But you may also enjoying the nature's beauty, and along the trail you will meet local people with friendly smile in their traditional clothes. Lunch will be ser at the edge of Tangma river and you can clean your body while the cook preparing the food. After lunch we continue to Wamerek within 30 minutes, dinner and overnight stay at a teacher’s house or school. Tents will be settled up (Walk Approx. 5 hours) DAY 04: WAMEREK - WESAGALEP (BL,D) The next morning after breakfast continue trekking to Wesagalep village for about 6 hours. You are proceeding to cross suspension hanging bridge over Baliem river, to cross this bridge you have to pay more attention because the bridge is already old. Lunch will be served at a small waterfall and you may refresh yourself in the water. The way to Wesagalep village from the river is going up the hill and you again can see the gorgeous scenery from the other side. Dinner and overnight at school of Wesagalep. DAY 05: WESAGALEP - WUSEREM (B,L,D) Leaving Wesagalep village in the morning after breakfast, we will trek up hill in 30 minutes, and when you arrive at the top of hill, we walk through the Dani sweet potatoes gardens, after we are going to enter a small rain forest with a sponge of mosses, no one live permanently in this forest. Lunch will have at the river, and then proceed to Userem village on the regular path, dinner and stay the night at school. Tents will be settled up. (Walk approx. 6-7 hours) DAY 06: WUSEREM - KURIMA - SOGOKMO - WAMENA (B,L,D) Having banana pancake for breakfast, then continue the last trekking day back to Sogokmo with regular path of local people, and cross suspension hanging bridge over Baliem river. DAY 05: WESAGALEP – PUKAM (B,L,D)
Having breakfast, start with a steep half an hour through yam gardens to the upper most compound of Wesagalep which offers a great panorama of steep forest slopes and garden. Then unpleasant hour of mud brought us to the river for lunch, after lunch continue the trekking thru the rain forest and highland Pandanus the forest is unusual here made of huge trees their trunks draped in moss of several colors. While the path getting much drier means that Pukam village is already near. Dinner and overnight at school. We will set up the tents for sleeping. (Walk Approx. 5 Hours)
DAY 06: PUKAM – LEASURE (B,L,D)
Today is a relaxing day, after breakfast we will visit the hamlets around Pukam village. And we will see our chance to join the tribal to go for hunting cuscus and fishing and learn the way of life of the local people.
DAY 07: PUKAM – WUSEREM (B.L.D)
Walk for about 4 hours thru tropical rain forest, there are many tropical flowers along the trail. Quite often you have to balance your way along the big logs which are wet and slippery. However, the porters are quite helpful supporting you and willing to carry you across (piggy back) on the bad paths. After come out from the rain forest you may enjoy the spectacular Baliem gorge and going down the river where cooks preparing our lunch, you may soak your aching bones in the river. Another 2 hours we will arrive in Wuserem village for dinner and overnight at school or in church.
DAY 08: WUSEREM - SYOKOSIMO (B.L.D)
Having banana pancake for breakfast and then and follow the regular path down until Syokosimo, today is easy trekking but the landscape is very beautiful and really marvelous one. While we rest on the top of the hill the wind blows very hard and never boring live in this area. Lunch boxes have provided in Syokosimo, after lunch you can go to swim in Mugi river in not polluted water. Late afternoon you can play with children in the school yard close to our accommodation. (Walk approx. 5 hours)
DAY 09: SYOKOSIMO – YUARIMA (B.L.D)
Today there is no village we passed until we reach Yuarima village, but we will cross 2 traditional bridges crossing the Mugi river. Today we are going to see mixed Dani and Yali tribes. These two tribes have different in the way of life, lunch will serve en-route and dinner and stay and school or Teacher’s house (Walk approx 5 hours).
DAY 10: YUARIMA – HITUGI - UGEM (B.L.D)
After breakfast, safari trekking with all of our crews in 5 hours with moderate walk until Ugem village by stop in Hitugi village where our cook will prepare lunch, while waiting for lunch we may visit some hamlets in Hitugi . After lunch we continue in 2hours to Ugem village where we will spend the last night of trekking. Along the path you will meet many people from Yali tribe on their way going home from shopping in Wamena. Arrive in Ugem immediately check-in at local accommodation and then visiting the hamlets surrounding. Dinner and overnight in Ugem.
DAY 11: UGEM – KURIMA – WAMENA (B.L.D)
After breakfast, then going down with moderate walk until Kurima sub-district, again you can enjoy very nice view and you also can see the Dani women sell their product beside the path. Simple lunch will serve beside the spring water and after lunch in another 2 hours we will arrive in Kurima to catch the car for driving back to Wamena, for dinner and overnight stay at Baliem Pilamo hotel.
DAY 12: WAMENA – JIWIKA (Pig’s feast and Dance) – WAMENA (B.L.D)
After breakfast at hotel, driving to the northern part of Baliem valley to a village that well known with its old smoked MUMMY. Today is the highlight of your journey because you will enjoy local performance such as MOCK WAR and traditional earth oven cooking. You can interact with the local Dani people and learn about their way of life, lunch will serve with local sweet potatoes and grill pork. On the way back to hotel we stop at the traditional market of Wamena. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.
DAY 13: WAMENA – JAYAPURA (B.L.D)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight back to Jayapura. Arrival at airport of Jayapura You may have a full day sightseeing tour including Mac Arthur 2nd World War monument, Sentani lake by long boat. Lunch have at Yougwa restaurant near the lake. DAY 14: JAYAPURA – DEPAPRE – KISY KISY BEACH (B.L.D)
After breakfast at hotel, we drive in 1.5 hours to Depapre with passing some Sentani traditional fishermen’s house and sago trees. Along the way you can also see the first transmigration people sent by the government who live in this area mix together with the local people. Upon arrive in Depapre we take motorized boat to Kisy-Kisy in 20 minutes for lunch, dinner and overnight at local house. Tents will be settled up.
DAY 15: KISY-KISY BEACH – JAYAPURA (B.L.D)
Today is leisure day and enjoy swimming and snorkeling in this beach until noon and you will have grill fishes for lunch. Late afternoon by boat back to Depapre harbor and catch car for drive back to Sentani Indah hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 16: JAYAPURA – NEXT DESTINATION (B)
After breakfast, transfer in time to Sentani airport for the next Destination.
